Yesterday my grandma Pam passed away at the age of 73. Losing her feels like losing a limb. I’ve never known the world without her, and I feel lost knowing she isn’t here with me anymore.

The fear in her eyes when she realized where we were is so unfair. The feeling of everything coming back on to me, all of the fear and pain and loss all at once was unbearable. Just a few doors down, we had thanksgiving dinner and one last sleepover with my uncle.

- was diagnosed with a rare and untreatable form of pancreatic cancer that manifested and killed him within 3.5 weeks. Today my grandma was hospitalized (again) for her chronic pneumonia, and she’s just a few doors down from the room my uncle had been in.

My grandma had a massive stroke that nearly killed her, then I was fired from a job I had dedicated my life to for 6 years, then my grandma had 2 more strokes. All of this was followed by my great grandma being diagnosed with breast cancer, and almost immediately after that my uncle -
