It’s worse, really.
After Paxton’s office offered the defendant a sweetheart plea deal on a misdemeanor and 30 days of jail, the judge asked the victim’s mother if it was enough.
She stated emphatically that it wasn’t.
So the judge added time but he was still released after just 29 days.
