Ah! Ok, that’s makes sense. My hallway ends in a linen closet, which, possibly due to my lack of imagination, is a place I never considered for a dishwasher.

000

Well, they didn’t, but now they do.

000

At the end of your hallway? I think I understand why they can’t install the dishwasher today but I’m not sure they’re gonna have much more luck on Monday.

Ypsilanti/ A2, watch out for your vulnerable neighbors today, especially around Golfside and Washtenaw.

The thing I keep thinking about is that toxic masculinity isn’t innate. It’s taught. And it’s taught to boys from a very young age. We know what “locker room talk” means but why do we expect that kind of talk in the locker room? We need good dudes to mentor kids into being loudly good dudes.

OK, but how is Ohio State doing, and what are they ranked?

Yahoo! Sports update with headline saying “No. 1 Ohio State clobbering No. 4 Ohio State”

I’m sorry. What I remember is people in my liberal hometown here in your represented state of Michigan feeling empowered to wear racist t-shirts saying “bomb them all and let God figure it out.” Or did you mean all white Americans?

Lifelong Michigan fan and EMU alumnus, so sworn enemy to WMU, etc. I hope they win the appeal because Michigan lost that game, both practically and spiritually.

Have you read @natepowell.bsky.social ‘s graphic novel essay that touches on this very subject? It blew my mind.

Yup, I was there. I hated it, but it really was objectively great. I actually felt worse about the beatdown at the hands of Oregon the next week. (Left that one at halftime and walked down to Washtenaw Dairy for ice cream.)

First year of earning over 100K points! Loved finding the gigantic and tiny lawn sign combo in Water Hill just in time for it to still count.

Mail-in ballots. Many people voted before she dropped out.

No idea. This is very close to the small but very nice Mallets Creek branch of the fantastic Ann Arbor District Library. My grandparents lived near that neighborhood for decades. A couple awesome parks are also nearby— ice skating in the winter, disc golf the other seasons.

My problem w/ the roadmaps we grabbed from AAA before a trip was they gave me so much information all at once that it overwhelmed me & I couldn’t make sense of it. Found out much later this is a common theme with my particular neurodivergence (Costco is painful!) but at the time I just felt stupid.

Thank you for writing this. Not in PSU myself (as far as I know), but the lack of information in general for those in the process has been very difficult. It feels like a total lack of empathy toward rightful citizens.

Ypsilanti / Ann Arbor, keep eyes open and take care of your neighbors today, especially near Michigan Ave. If you see something, best thing to do is document well (vehicles, number of people involved, location, etc) and contact MIRA.

IRCC is quietly telling people to surrender Canadian citizenship certificates they lawfully got under Bill C-3. This retroactive recall leaves families in limbo after making major life choices. It is a failure of fairness & competence. This initiate must freeze immediately with full data disclosure.

ICE will not be opening a detention center in Romulus. Southeast Michigan communities came together and made their voices heard in the court of public opinion. Thank you to the organizers and leaders at all levels of government who stopped this immoral project.

I feel like I should probably cheer for people putting up scaffolding around town more often. I bet they’d like that.

Everyone on Bluesky is suddenly an expert in how to do scaffolding, I see.

Would be really nice to see some of that famous Big Gretch Energy do something other than repeat a statement issued the last time an inmate died *a few weeks ago*, but maybe she’s too busy posing w/ Altman at the site of a data center the community roundly opposes. bridgemi.com/michigan-gov...

Deaths at Michigan women's prison spur calls for Gretchen Whitmer to act, director to resign

A third death in less than a month at Michigan’s only women’s prison is prompting calls for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to intervene and for Department of Corrections Director Heidi Washington to resign.

Screenshot every page, send to printer. 3-hole punch, then put in binder. Draw a cover in crayon and affix to the front of the binder. After finishing reading, try to put the binder in your neighbor’s Little Library. You can’t; won’t fit. Post a complaint on Nextdoor, print comments. 3-hole punch…

I have always thought the idea of a cruise was horrifying, because a) norovirus, b) possibility of my T1 diabetic butt being stuck at sea if the ship breaks, and c) being confined to a vessel filled with people who like cruises. And I have been irrationally afraid of hantavirus for years.
