I went to my family's home region recently, and more importantly forced my father to visit it (something he's been avoiding to do in over 30 years). Needless to say, there's a level of peace your mind finds when it's at the right spot even when everything else seems so bleak over there.

LGBTK+ človeške ribice za moje kvir Slovence 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ A small project I did while on a trip. The designs feature the olm (Proteus anguinus), a species of blind cave salamanders from the western Dinaric karst, that is often used as a symbol of Slovenia.

Nice AI-image-generating tool, but it will never be as great an artist as Onfim, a child who lived in the Novgorod Republic in the mid-1200s and who scribbled these drawings and schoolwork writings on birch bark at the age of 6 or 7.

Onfim’s drawing of himself on horseback as a warrior defeating an enemy.

Two of Onfim’s works. On the left is a copy of a passage from the Book of Psalms he did for schoolwork. On the right is an apparently autobiographical depiction of a monster labeled with “I am a wild beast.”

Some more spelling practice by Onfim with some human figures who have round heads and varying numbers of fingers on their big hands.

Onfim’s writing practice accompanied by 7 little people in his particular drawing style, who tend to have very big hands with many fingers.

I occasionally want to post Balkan culture inspired works on Reddit, but the subreddits my work is relevant to (Balkan stuff subs) would implode from homophobia at the sight of my works, and the subreddits that would be fine with my works (queer subs) don't give a shit about Balkan culture

01: There is a woman facing you with a confident expression. She has blond hair, messy twin pigtails, a small angel wing coming off the right side of her head, and a devil horn coming off the left. She has a big angel wing coming off the left side of her back, and a devil wing coming off the right. Her right eye is teal and has an 'X' pattern on the pupil, whereas her right eye is indigo and has a circle pattern on the pupil. She wears a pink neckerchief, and a tight sleeveless top that's blue on the top half and dark purple on the bottom. She also has disconnected sleeves, so her shoulders are still visible.

She says "HEY!! It's ME, you're OLD OC. Haven't drawn ME in a while, HAVE YA'?"

02: She puts up her hands in front of her, as if you say 'stop it'. She has big, robotic hands.

She says "No no, IT'S OKAY! Let's be real, my design is pretty amateurish HAHA"

03: She turns a bit to the side, and adopts a more sympathetic expression, but keeps looking you in the eyes.

She says "But I want you to know that I've been there all this time. I've watched you grow. And you've grown SO much."

04: Closeup of her face as her confident expression returns. She tilts her head and gives you a wink.

"Proud of ya', kid."
