Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. "Guys! Look!" Karlach grabs everyone's attention while holding her favourite teddy bear aloft. "Fangs gave Clive glowing claws and a heart that lights up when I do!"

Indeed, embroidered patches on the teddy bear glow with a pulse that matches that of Karlach's infernal engine.

"It's so adora-tastic I could explode!"

"Something to celebrate your newfound ability to not explode," Astarion chimes in, ready to be showered with praise. "A clever use of spidersilk on my par--"

And the wind is crushed out of Astarion when Karlach grabs him in a big bear hug. "You're the best! C'mere!"

Aldiirn can't help but smile at seeing Astarion help another companion - and maybe also at the side of his legs ragdolling around in Karlach's enthusiastic embrace.

Wyll also smiles at the show. "As one heart slows its terrible burn, another sparks with warmth. Your generosity is rubbing off on Astarion."

"I only gave him the tools and space, it was all on him to decide how to use them," Aldiirn says.

"Don't sell your influence so short," Wyll chides, "I never would have expected the Astarion I first met would freely repair my threadbare clothes. He took his sewing kit and went out of the way for half the camp."

Wyll's last words give Aldiirn a sinking feeling as he catches a glint of something on Wyll's back...

There, barely catching the light on the back of Wyll's crop top are the words "Daddy's Boy" in an elegant cursive. Aldiirn immediately recognizes it as spidersilk embroidery, nearly invisible when used so finely, unlikely to be noticed unless one was looking for it...

Snooping around the rest of the camp, Aldiirn spots "Shar's Favourite Princess" written on Shadowheart's top and "Mystra's Pet" embroidered into Gale's adventuring robes. Aldiirn dares not get close enough to Lae'zel to look for any words on the narrow bands of her top harness, but he's sure Astarion must have made cheeky additions to everyone's clothes.

Aldiirn sequesters himself inside his tent and shoves aside enough of the overgrown fungi to lay his shirt flat. He conjures Dancing Lights and crouches low over his shirt to look for any words that might light up.

"Using an entire spool of spidersilk for a prank is one thing, but all in one rest?" Aldiirn mutters to himself, "I underestimated the time he has when he doesn't hunt...

"He must have run out of one of the other before getting to my clothes," Aldiirn concludes, not realizing he's been looking on the wrong article and that "juicy" is written across the seat of his pants.

In the distance, Astarion sits in a cage-like contraption, naked, hugging his knees. A spotlight shines on him, while the cage is surrounded by red light, highlighting it as the centrepiece of the image, like an attraction in a zoo.
The cage is surrounded by three walls: behind, left, and right. The only way out is through the front, into the hall.

That is filled with countless, headless, plain mannequins that spill into the hall from left and right, all turned towards him.

Depending on the screen settings, there's a large blood stain spilling from under the cage. If the screen is too dark, this might not be very visible, unfortunately. Apologies, I'm trying to get better at making the darker shots more monitor-friendly.

At the left border of the image, closest to the camera, stands Cazador, proudly with a satisfied grin. He's a ghostly figure, so translucent that the mannequins and torches that he'd otherwise block can be seen through him.

New October 2026: instead of two images, I merged two versions, which get the thought I wanted across better than two separate ones.

As a teen, Aldiirn was thrown to giant spiders and luckily rescued before they could make a meal of him. Still, the venom left a large a scar and damaged his eye. He's mindful of how much shows; too much and other underfolk mistake him for a slave, but it gets pity points from topsiders. #tavqotd

I've been pretty dead lately, so have some news: I actually worked alongside the Cork Comic Creators in an anthology ^^ I illustrated "Can you imagine?", a story by Kevin Smith (who's handle eludes me but I know he's around. Hi lad). Anyway, these are some panels I liked! #comic #anthology
