Great analysis for @roundourwayuk.bsky.social by @paulhebden.bsky.social. Striking how difficult the later stages of the World Cup will be for teams- especially those not used to extreme heat and humidity.

🌊 | NEW REPORT: Extreme weather is a political issue. Failing to protect people from floods and heat leaves space for the populist right to exploit public anger and risks losing voters across the spectrum who expect action. Our solutions here 👉 www.ippr.org/articles/adapt-or-die

Great to see such a brilliant response to the new Richard Parks / @roundourwayuk.bsky.social podcast Beyond the Breakdown.
A review in the Telegraph of the Beyond the Breakdown podcast calling it charming and noting how it dives into the Welsh rugby scene, interviewing the players that shape it and visiting local clubs.

I used to worry politicians were setting up the public for disappointment with their overly-optimistic "green jobs" promises. Now I realise, the public just isn't really buying it anyway. www.ft.com/content/2d00...

Looking forward to speaking at the Welsh Government's #WalesClimateWeek conference tomorrow morning. We'll chat about how we need to get more working class voices into the climate debate and @roundourway.bsky.social's work supporting people impacted by increasing extreme weather in the UK.

It's heartbreaking to see the damage floods are wreaking on homes, livelihoods and now people's health. People should not have to put up with disgusting filth flowing into their streets and parks. Good to see people Round Our Way has worked with on ITV News at 10. www.itv.com/news/2024-01...

Good to see so many papers picking-up @roundourway.bsky.social's work helping flood-hit communities show how dangerous and filthy recent floods have made their neighbourhood. It's already bad, and many are worried about what more extreme weather climate change could bring.
