Not the stream I originally wanted to look into today, but Sega was... well, Sega, so... Sonic CrossWorlds Festival time again... and it's new stuff for the 2nd Miku round instead of repeats. So I guess the counter starts up once again. www.twitch.tv/Pillowbard

It may legitimately be time to start asking for help. Work is starting to push me in a way that... well, it's bad for my mental health But I'm too far gone to just quit without a lot of help.

000

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 18/09/2026

Do I expect to get through all 4? No, because work is still a thing, even if Halloween setup was the smoothest I've experienced in a long while. May end up having other things come up too (Windblown update, Ace Combat, Metroid re-plays, *maybe* Borderlands replays)? But I'll see what happens.

010

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 18/09/2026

Let's just throw this out there now. There's 4 games I want to at least try and stream (or finish) by year's end (years end? Not sure.): Lies of P (my "close enough" spooky October plan) Pragmata System Shock 2 Remastered Castlevania: Belmont's Curse (my other spooky October plan)

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 18/09/2026

Context: in May I started to look into making the swap from Windows 11 to Linux, but there was a major snag - my capture card didn't fully work. That was apparently fixed over the summer, so I need to test it out. I want to have proper time to mess with it though, so maybe I'll try it mid October.

010

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 13/09/2026

I'm still trying to decide a "spooky" game for October if I get to it (right now I'm leaning towards either Castlevania: Lament of Innocence or Lies of P, pending 2 specific things). That said, I have a very important test stream I may do after my planned trip: seeing how a stream fares on Linux.

I think I can safely say my original plan for October streams won't happen (I don't see myself getting through Ace Combat 2-7 in time to mess with 8). I would kinda lose a week anyway with a planned trip. That said, I may have in mind a... not really spooky game, but something that could work.

I do still want to get in at least a test stream with the new mic I bought, plus one more FF14 stream next week, since it's the final week for that gift sub mount campaign (as awkward as twitch subs may be to mess with right now). Outside of that, we'll see how I feel until April.

Ended up just playing Splatoon Raiders, and finished the entire back half of the game. Was a fun time. I thought I was done streaming the game, as the rest of post-game looked like a grind and an endless dungeon... except the dungeon has an end point, *then* it's endless. So maybe one more stream.

Wasn't planning to stream today, but opportunity strikes, I guess Twitch has a campaign going where gifting 3 subs across any FF14 streams gives a code for a unicorn mount I don't expect anything, but I'll throw my hat in the ring for a few days as I do random stuff. www.twitch.tv/Pillowbard/

Majora's Mask 3D I'll get back to soonish, haven't had the right mindset to go back yet. Today's up in the air, but might try and relax with a Super Metroid randomizer (if no SS2). Likely gonna end up skipping the Marvel Tokon beta, honestly. I just don't feel right about the game for some reason.

000

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 23/07/2026

A small peek behind the curtain on why post-shift streams aren't happening so much right now (besides my just not streaming so much anyway) Hormones are kinda having a side-effect that... well, I expected it, but not this way I'm sleeping better now, but also recovery naps are lasting longer

012

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 19/07/2026

I may undo this at any point if either a) I can't get in the mindset for it, or b) things go too far with people trying to backseat. I knew too much trying to go into Undertale fresh and never even finished (I stopped at the epilogue), I want to try and have a better time with this one.

010

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 19/07/2026

Since I said it during my stream tonight, I'll go with this for now If I reach 150 followers on Twitch, I'll play chapter 1 of Deltarune for the first time. For every 10 after that, I'll add a chapter. If I reach 200 before Chapter 7's out, I'll do the rest 24+ hours after they're out.

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 15/07/2026

Okay, I put a goal on my Throne account at least. Yes, it's a lot. It's not even all of it. But it's the most I feel okay with asking for. This goal would make things doable for me if I reached it in the next couple years. It'll also go lower over time as I pay things down. throne.com/pillowbard

I've been considering looking into a GoFundMe, or a way to use Throne (if even possible) towards helping with the biggest problem - the 2 loans that use up most of my income. I always feel bad about the idea, though. I don't feel worth asking for that kind of help, especially for that much money.

000

Elusia @pillowbard.me · 15/07/2026

It may be early to get gloomy about this, but it's starting to sound like I may have a soft deadline of 2 years to fix my financial situation before work gets bad (in short, competition opening close by in 2028, may cause problems later). There's no way I can get there without help, though.
