I find the grandmother in this book to be overly sanguine and dismissive. Not at all sympathetic to Wemberly’s anxiety disorder. Oh she’s setting an example? Well I guess the lesson is DENIAL. I’m sorry. I know this will upset people. Sometimes one has to take a stand in this world.

One time, years ago, I was filling in for a daily host from Wednesday through Friday. As they signed off on Tuesday, they said, "Tune in to hear me again next Monday when my guests will be..." Nothing about me or, indeed, the show airing the rest of the week. I'm still stunned.

I've known radio/pod hosts who refer to everything they do with themselves at the center. "My show", "My guest this week", etc. I tend to go plural, even at the risk of sounding like Queen Elizabeth, because so many people are involved in putting a show together. As host, I'm just one part of it.
