I've recommended Dennis E. Taylor's Bobiverse series of funny engineering sci-fi novels for years, but the final few chapters of his newly-released sixth book in the series has cemented for me that this is a must-read for anyone with a similar sense of humor to mine. I've been cry-cackling so much.

Me: “I know how to change a tire, and there’s a spare in the trunk, this’ll be quick.” Vehicle with over 300K miles on it: “these lugnuts have basically contact-welded to my wheels and the wrench is too short too get enough leverage to budge any of them.” Roadside assistance: “be there in 90min.”
