I've also got EDS and genuinely getting into aerial silks and lyra has improved my symptoms like nothing else! It's the exact right type of careful strength building and stretching for a lot of hypermobile bodies :0 acupuncture has been the most effective pain treatment method for me too

Also highkey circus arts are one of few sports that were actually designed for hypermobile adult bodies! So many performers in the scene have EDS that the motions and strength training is essentially centered around it

It's honestly incredible how much improvement aerial circus has given my body and it was initially a worry I had (getting worse) but I've been doing so much better and I've fallen in love with Lyra at the same time. For me I do cupping on my back and that helps pain (back injury as a kid)

I also finally have proper photos of my current opossum suit with all his proper elements now added! Tail squeaks and is a vinyl leather with hidden feed base Top surgery and nipples applique and a lined pouch. Hair and eyes are UV! #fursuitmaker #opossumfurry #hauntedopossumfursuits #transfurry

Shows me in my opossum suit laying in the grass.
His ears, feet toes, nose and tail are synthetic leather
He has no hand paws due to my mobility needs

Here you can also see my boa Lilith who decided to climb around on the tail portion of my suit

Welcome to the opossum family! This new retro galaxy sparkle dog features gorgeous bold colours and patterns and is full of personality! What a striking creature! #sparkledog #galaxydogfurry #fursuitmaker #hauntedopossumfursuits #disabledfursuitmaker #commissionsopen

Shows 2 fursuits in a fenced back yard on a sunny day
The left side has a grey opossum with green and purple eyes and hair, and a witches hat.
Besides the opossum is a sparkle dog sona which featured black and grey tinsel for the main furs and accents of bright silver, purple, green, and blue, as well as galaxy colour fur.

This is just the sparkle dog, but from a size view.
Their tail is black and galaxy with purple blue and green star shapes on each side of the tail
On the opposite side (not visible) the suit has the same purple blue and green stars on the hip and upper thigh

Shows the suit as a partial on a table in the yard.
The feet and hands have colour coded cuffs to tell you the side of the body they belong to with magenta being for the right side and blue for the left.
You can see the stars on the tail and the galaxy fur in this photo, shown on the tail.
The eyes of the suit head have a star marking as the highlights and are purple in colour

Made a little spider plush this morning, thinking I might try and get a few done for vending coming up (making a few here and there between projects as I go) Love how he came out and I definitely want to make more. Now to figure out pricing for these guys and do a few colour and pattern combos 👀🤭

Shows a blue and grey jumping spider plush from the front
Grey as the main with lighter legs, light blue pedipalps and dark blue eyes.
His butt markings are dark and light blue

Same from the side
The center back marking is a skull in dark blue
The side markings are hearts in lighter blue going from big to small

Top view to show the back markings better

Also it's Halloween themed for the event, so I have an ass load of that pink/black spiderweb lace (and can get more if need be) I have white spandex and have been tempted to get some fake blood to splatter on it in the yard for some fun bodysuit work 👀 But I think I'll make it into something first🤔

Plan is to have some skirts, capes and capelets, premade fursuits, resin work (if I have time) and ofc out rave and dance based clothing like the shown bodysuits and like the cutout ones we've done in the past available. People loved a lot of what we did and I want to have more available this time

Some of the bodysuits ready to go for our next vending event! Last time I only had one of our unisex numbers with as just a solid suit with accent binding and not only did it sell fast, but others had interest. This time, we have 4! Also plan to have those cutout styles available too and more! #prep

Shows a pink purple and black bodysuit.
Purple binding
Pink and black skulls main print
Accent panels of black mesh with pink spiderwebs

Pink binding
Blue jellyfish main
Accent center teal pannel

Black binding and bottom half

Mostly everything. Hanging upside down is probably the big main difference I notice between aerial arts and pt. Plus to be upside down will still take tolerance. (Ik you know that tho) I find the safe stretching practices and strength building to be the main helpers for me tho.

More Lilith the red tail boa posting since I'm not currently home. She's honestly such a big baby and she absolutely loves chilling with us. I'm really happy to see she has settled into her new life quite well! #boaconstrictor #bciboa #snake #redtailbcisnake #boasnake

This was one of her more spicy days where she didn't want to come out, and after she discovered her new hide fits her entire body!
I came into the work room for something and she poked her head out at me. Ofc I had to get a pic cause she was being silly

Lilith found a very cozy leg with pocket to take a nap on/in.
Cals leg fell asleep during this cause she spent 15 minutes making here and shes quite the beefy girl

"oh hi dad!" ~ Lilith, probably
I was sitting in front of her at the end of the bed, she was still deciding if she wanted to come down off of calts leg

Also if I try for showcase, we've determined the likely theme this fall will be "horror circus" Ofc if I perform I'll be making my bodysuit for it, and this is just 3 concepts I've drafted so far 😅 All based on the songs: Radium girls (Currie Eleison) Gutter glitter Voodoo doll #conceptsketchlyra

Shows the 3 themes:
Top left: radium girls which shows a 19 teens-early 20s style outfit, its in purple grey and green, has skeleton tights that glow, and aerial spats
Second to the right is for gutter glitter, which has a skeleton style as well with a ripped red and white skirt and top combo with white aerial spats. Everything is spattered with blood and all red on the skirt and top would be rinestones or glittery in some form.
The last on the bottom is based on voodoo doll. The song talks of themes of misplaced love and changing ones self to be who others want, ultimately causing harm to ones self. They are blinded with a large heart on their chest to represent that pain, and covered in pins to show the areas hurt most (a representation of myself for those who know)
Too surgery scars, knee surgery scars, and hysterectomy scars. This one also has aerial spats, and would have skin toned tights under to protect otherwise bare skin on the one leg.

If I do, it's a lot of work for me especially for 3 months time, but, I do think I can do it if I keep up with it. Do class and practice so I'm on the hoop multiple times a week, I think I could make a decent novice performance. Can't lie, I'm incredibly tempted to do it. #lyra #aerialcircus #aerial

Mind you, I was already toying with the idea of trying to do the fall showcase, but haven't had my hopes up for it. Then Wednesday a student asked me if I was doing showcase (me, a total newb, on the first day with Lyra no less) and the teacher agreed I should push for it. Maybe I should?

I love when I'm trying to have a good day and get some work done but ig not.... It's so hot out the power grid went down and I lost power while working. Thankfully I wasn't actively sewing cause that would've been more annoying. So now I wait to work and to eat cause can't do either without power

Usually the pose is my reference sketch for drawing up aerial leotards and bodysuits. I have both a front and back view of this position (which I may one day use to make a reversible badge for ghost with) But it also works well for furry art 😅

Tw: bruising (they are hearts) The bruising has gotten so much darker now that we are at about 22hrs post cupping. Cupping was part of a scene I did in the chapel at ground zero last night during the fetish ball. Had a wonderful time with both and would gladly do it again. #gothclub #kinky #goth

Shows me knelt on the bench in the changing room behind the chapel at ground zero.
I'm faced away showing my back bare to the world and looking over my shoulders with a full face of makeup, my typical: exaggerated black winged cat eye eyeliner with dramatic inner and outer wings, and a black lipstick this time.
I'm wearing black fishnets and leg wraps also black, with skin colour tights underneath as the base layer. I also have green hair with my sides shaved and ear tails as I have a death hawk haircut. The opposite (not visible side) is black.
On my back is 6 heart shape bright red bruises (which have now gone a deep purple colour)
