Front cover of a large, paperback book titled A Periodic Table of Greek Mythology by Working Classicists, Edited by Miri Teixeira. The background is a painting of Zeus and Europa with many people in the sea and cupids flying around. This is overlaid with a box - periodic element style with and image of the bust of Athena (a young woman wearing a helmet).A line drawing in Art Nouveau style of Helen of Troy / Sparta. She looks forlorn, standing on steps, draped in flowing robes and what looks like a veil.Text header: Ajax (Aj)
Αίας | Ay-jax / Eye-as/ Eye-ax
This is followed by an incomplete section of the opening paragraph. Engraving style drawing in Black and white. An armoured warrior with a great, plumed helmet stands over a sword, upended in the ground and pointing into the middle of his chest. His arms are spread wide.
To the left, an English Civil War style army carrying spears rush to his aid. In the distance, the ships of the Greeks can be seen behind a wall.
