10/10 The Final Entry in the New Floridian Guidebook for Aliens in New Florida is possibly less confusing once you've read the book. Possibly more! www.carmenloup.com/aliens-in-ne... 💙📚 🌈🚀💫 #NonbinaryLit

Swamp Eye. Infinite Sals out of five. Don’t come here, or do. If you come here, you will be here. If you don’t, you will not. It’s a place that exists in one sense of the word, because it can be spoken about and physically visited, but it also doesn’t exist in that if you aren’t here (and I’m assuming you’re not, because you’re reading this guidebook), it’s only a concept. Until you go to Swamp Eye, it’s made up only of words and pictures. After you leave, it will only be memories.

When you’re here, though…you sure are here. CarmenLoup.com

#WIPSnips for effort from The Audacity 5! Xan experiences the joy of slipping into madness.

He understood, now, how Aimz had been so happy when she became scourged before, back on Not Tuhnt. She hadn’t fought it, and in not fighting it, she’d freed herself from the effort of trying to remain human and instead gleefully allowed herself to become unfathomable.

#WIPSnips for call! May's "rescued" by a gaggle of Alaskan crab fishermen himbos and she really doesn't appreciate it.

"Whatcha got there? Oh," said the first voice, Leif. "Aw, damn. Poor thing. Wonder how she got here." More lights danced behind her eyes and a whiff of coffee and whiskey breath warmed her nose as Leif bent to study her.
"No decomposition...no discoloration. Not cold enough to preserve her this well for long..." The second voice muttered. "We should call the ranger."

I love having some of my favorite quotes to start off a book but I have like 3 really good ones for The Audacity 5 and I can't decide! So I'll leave it up to a vote!! Neil, Mae, or Chuang?

“We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically.” ― Neil DeGrasse Tyson
“The difference between science and the arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin even, or even different parts of the same continuum, but rather, they are manifestations of the same thing.”
― Mae Jemison

“The purpose of a fish trap
is to catch fish,
and when the fish are caught
the trap is forgotten.
The purpose of a rabbit snare
is to catch rabbits.
When the rabbits are caught,
the snare is forgotten.
The purpose of the word
is to convey ideas.
When the ideas are grasped,
the words are forgotten.
Where can I find a man who has forgotten words?
I’d like to have a word with him.”
― Chuang Tzu

A piece from The Audacity 5 today! Just polishing up the last two chapters...deciding how to go about book 6 👀

He snatched an opalescent blue dildo about as long as his arm from a box beneath the bed and rapped the Porgord on the top of the head with it. “Go!” he shouted to May, but in the brief time it took him to say this, the creature had caught the wobbly phallus, bit it in half, and lunged at his face.
May did not go, as suggested. She slung the hot noodles in the Porgord’s eyes, grabbed a handful of Xan’s robe near the waist, hauled him out of the room, and slammed the door closed. Finding no way to lock it quickly, she just held it closed with her back. Xan joined her in this endeavor, briefly, before remembering how to latch the door from the outside. Orgasmo’s, it must be said, had not been designed with anyone’s safety in mind.

#QueerPrompts Lots! Xan's a linguist, so we go into language a lot. Several alien languages, some ancient alien languages, and because he learned English from I Love Lucy, some of his "English" is actually Spanish. We also have August, who's German.
