*cooking* The goal is to have two updates of the Monster AU this month, since I already have a ghostsoapgaz halfway cooked. I'm committing, bear with me!

Yes, darling?, came the eerie, calm voice of his vampire.

The bloody hell are you? Simon demanded, letting every ounce of irritation and frayed worry bleed raw into the mental line.

Hide from me, Simon, Price purred back. Hide that sweet, powerful blood from my hunger.

Simon went still. He could feel Jonathan's love, his hunger—sensing his feelings but not his location, checking that the vampire was safe. Then he let his blood run hot until his body sang in the dark, a song only the vampire could hear.

Simon. The warning came out growled, needy—barely held together. Run.

Because when he does… well, Mac assumes he will get to monopolize Price as much as he wants, and in a sense he does get that. But while he gets Price's domesticity, while he gets his bright-eyed adoration, the soft expression when they wake up next to each other in the morning, while he gets to love Price in the open now without repercussions… He also gets Price forlornly sighing while staring out of the window. He also gets him pacing around with his phone in his hand, staring at the conversation with no new messages. He gets the "I have to go, he's in the hospital" when one of the remaining 141 gets injured. He gets exactly what he wants, and still it's not enough.

Honestly 141 are getting scraps at this point, they're terrified of what happens if Mac decides to propose to Price because it is a) likely and b) more convenient than trying to establish legal gay polygamy in the UK lol… But when Mac invites them over for a meal, when they see the home Mac has built for the two, and that they're still welcome in it (because Price loves them loves them loves them), they can rest a bit easier. Even if the old men got married, Price would still need the three of them for balance.
