Halloween looms again! 👻 My “The Last Science Fiction Story” debuted in #DarkMatterMagazine ’s Halloween 2021 issue. It’s a chilling, unique first contact story from the protagonist-author’s POV. It enabled me to join #SFWA as a professional SF author—a dream since I read my first #SF novel. 1/5

It is a simple, 2-D cartoonish sheet-style ghost of 8-bit raster graphics and neon mazes brought to a phantasmal electron wireframe 4-D reality of purple video distortion. Its victims — and none skilled enough to unlock the level 256 glitch ever escape it — are said by some to compress inward into nothingness at its touch, starting with a scream from an impossibly widening mouth folding in upon itself.
