Whether or not it's okay to abuse autistic children is not a "difference of opinion". That people still think it is shows how autistic young people continue to be treated as if they a "broken", or a "problem", instead of being provided with the support they may need. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

CCTV of an autistic pupil being restrained by staff in a seclusion room at a special school is "brutal" and "unlawful", a restraint expert has told the BBC.
The footage shows the 12-year-old being held face-down on the floor in a prone restraint involving five members of staff.
His mother, who gave it to the BBC, said she was "horrified" when she watched it.
The management of the school, in Leeds, said multiple investigations found staff had no case to answer and the expert views were a "difference of opinion".

'Taxpayers money' is a phrase used to vilify the poorest in society. Let's get this straight: WE ARE ALL TAXPAYERS - we all pay consumption taxes, for example VAT/Purchase tax. Why do politicians and right-wing commentators not use the more accurate 'Public Money' when discussing public spending?

Yes it’s a set back . A major one . But we cannot give up . Not now , not ever . In the UK I’m campaigning for a ban on fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship , because for too long these companies have had largely unlimited £££ to greenwash their filthy reputations . No more .

Petition: Ban fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship

Advertisements encourage the use of products and sponsorship promotes a positive reputation & creates a social licence of trust & acceptability. In 2003 a ban on all tobacco advertising was introduced...

Another form of masking that we don’t speak about enough. Those of us with high supports needs must constantly appease our caretakers in order to stay safe. Otherwise we won’t receive love and safety. The basics of behavioral modification.

⚠️ FACT: Tens of thousands of badgers are killed every year in a cull that does NOTHING to stop bovine TB. 💔 It’s cruel. It’s pointless. And it MUST end. ✍️ Add your name to our petition: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/700317 Let’s make this the year we say NO MORE!
