one of the big things is the region level system, as you explore,defeat enemies, get collectibles,etc. the region levels up and more things become available and marked on your map. but not in a way that feels handed to you. you feel you've earned those map markers, powerups, costumes,etc

control resonant is a perfect example of how to reward the player for exploring without handholding. I love its balance of time spent:reward. game gets progressively harder and you p much need to explore in order to get stronger, but also there are other fun rewards. but it respects your time

the state of pet insurance and healthcare is obscene. I'm personally lucky that my dog is allowed at the local pet hospital and they have a good low end insurance plan, however it still costs me like 1/3 of my monthly funds.

my reason for it is, if you're spending money on insurance, food, shelter, etc and spending time to take care of another living being they should be valid as a dependant regardless if they're human, your child, or whatever circumstances. I've also got beef with hersey and what they've done to vets
