Thirty years of forest restoration science, and for a long time the only way to get a paper was to ask someone to scan it and email you a PDF. How we turned FORRU-CMU's research archive into a searchable public library, and what we are building next 🧵👇

Byline CMS's about page is now live in six languages. English and French are full interface locales - 'sticky', so the surrounding app and admin chrome follow you as you navigate. Spanish, German, Chinese and Thai are content-only: the page translates, but the interface stays put.

TIL: content negotiation at one URL when your CDN ignores Vary headers looks like this 👇 The Next.js RSC flight payload, dumped straight onto the visitor's screen. Ouch. Next sets Vary: rsc correctly — Cloudflare ignores Vary on everything but Accept-Encoding. 🧵

Just wrapped another great workshop: 'An Introduction to UI/UX (in the Time of AI)'. One of the things that makes UI/UX such a fascinating field right now is how much confusion still surrounds it — even before AI entered the picture. #UIUXDesign #UXDesign

I love the Mozilla Foundation. I've donated in the past. But their rebrand might be proof that hiring 'branding giants' to reimagine your brand - doesn't always work.

In addition to 'Follow all' from a starter pack, would it also be helpful to have an 'Add all to List' option? My curated lists on (the other place) were super helpful. @danabra.mov @bsky.app @jay.bsky.team

Hi Simon, All, I'm Tony - the co-founder of a digital agency based in Bangkok. I'm an old web head. Very old. Old enough to have started with one of these :-) (well and punch cards before that!). And I agree - it's nice in here.
