Remember today that people calling you "oversensitive" has zero to do w/ reality-- it's 100% them trying to control you by evoking shame. 100%. People are as sensitive as they are. Slapping an arbitrary label on it is a control move, not a valid judgment. Remember.

UK must not be beholden to foreign AI, says head of Alan Turing Institute. UK infrastructure is owned by foreign investors/states - ports, airports, water, energy, microchips, auto, steel, computers, phones. Can't reduce UK vulnerability without abandoning neoliberalism.

Noticed your elderly cat's coat is starting to look unkempt? Increase brushing your cat if poss, but a reduction in self grooming can be a sign of health problems such as hyperthyroidism, arthritis, tooth pain, back pain etc, so is worth having a vet check.

Either smell or stress related. 1) the suitcase or clothes did not smell like her normal environment and she was scenting it. 2) The suitcase and clothes are a change to her normal environment causing distress and she stress peed.

If you see a cat in the UK that is not emaciated or unkempt, it is likely owned and patrolling it's territory. Cats will eat offered food even if not hungry. Don't feed it without the owner's permission as you don't know what medical conditions it has or medications it's on. #donoharm

The majority of cats in the UK go outside, are legally microchipped, not hungry, or too thin. Just like humans some cats will eat even when not hungry (Garfield is an entire cartoon based on this). Genuinely stray cats, just like homeless people, will look very different and be in a poor state.

This is shocking to me, to suggest someone stop letting their cat go outside so you won't feed it! Sounds the equivalent of people keeping their kids indoors to avoid strangers offering them sweets. 80% of cats in the UK are allowed to go outside by choice through their cat flap.

Neoliberalism in a nutshell. UEFA on FIFA's proposal: “The moment external investors acquire ownership interests ... football changes forever. Commercial return becomes a permanent obligation. ... Every decision is no longer driven by what best serves the game, but by what best serves shareholders.”

The average vet over 10 years + qualified earns in the UK £45000-50,000. It depends if they work somewhere rural or in a city or if they have extra qualifications. Now ask a dentist, doctor, lawyer, accountant etc how much they earn.

There is also a no unionisation for vets and corps such as mars have shut down individual successful hospitals when staff have tried to strike.

I know a very successful referral Hosp where the corp said either sell to us or we'll set up a rival hospital and block our practices from referring to you. So basically sell or fight for your life.

People want to retire with the best possible amount and to help their children if possible. They may have created the business from scratch and served their community for 50yrs. You can still choose to use independent vets and vote against neoliberal politicians.

If you started your own business from scratch and then came to retire in later life, would you sell to a corp that offers you 100,000, or for very little to a fellow professional that you don't know and who could then sell it on to a corp for 100,000? It happening with opticians, hairdressers etc

Security company G4S contracted to do security at the London Olympics were so bad that the armed forces had to step at the last minute. Over 13,000 armed forces personnel got deployed to the Olympics at the last minute and many had been taken of their leave from Afghanistan.

Private Equity Is Taking Over Your Veterinarian. PE devouring town centers, housing, healthcare, dentistry, care homes, pet care. Business model: high debt, price hikes, staff/wage cuts, monopolies built, low investment, tax abuse. PE owns 2000+ UK vets, little competition. Regulatory silence.

Private equity controls large parts of UK economy & public services. It is opaque, lacks transparency and accountability. PE conceals ownership, uses complex structures, financial engineering: shifts profits offshore, engages in tax abuse Little information Company law is not fit-for-purpose.
