Engaging at all with them is a waste of time. They know exactly what they are doing.

Getting one star review-bombed at the moment by people who have never been there.

I’m placing a second order for this person - of some blankets and cushions for the kids to sit on. She is teaching a total of 200 kids, in small groups through the week, and at the moment they are all on bare, uncarpeted floor. If anyone is able to chip in a few dollars that would be fab ❤️🙏🏻

I had forgotten how wonderfully simple the video is. I wonder if they had one day to make it and they were all in Devonport or Yass or something.

True. Also – it's so life affirming to realise how much you don't know and how much there still is to learn. Support your local Wikipedia.

I can't quite read the last one, does it say "this is garbage but it's still wine"?

Here's a couple of his books

Fujita studied art on the GI Bill, and was hired by Columbia Records, where he did famous covers for Mingus, Brubeck & Davis jazz albums that are in my dad's collection. He also did famous book covers. He used his own modernist paintings on the LPs which are key in the visual language of jazz.

Cover of Modern Jazz Perspective by Don Byrd and Gigi Gryce (1957). Geometric shapes with suggestions of birds, fish, instruments and speakers are arranged on a vibrant yellow background. Design and artwork by S Neil Fujita.

Cover of Mingus Ah Um, by Charles Mingus (1959). Overlapping circles, triangles and tentlike shapes in bright colours, on a painterly mostly-white background. Design and artwork by S Neil Fujita.

Cover of Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet (1959). Circes containing flaglike radiating shapes bob and jostle on a rich purple background. Design and artwork by S Neil Fujita.

TIL about S. Neil Fujita, Hawaii-born graphic designer and artist. He was interned in WW2 because his parents were Japanese; then later was allowed to enlist. He served in Europe and the Pacific in the 442nd Infantry Regiment, the most decorated unit in US history which was all 2nd gen Japanese.

Sadamitsu Neil Fujita in a sepia photo from the 1960s. He has greying hair and neat moustache and wears a suit and dark tie. Quite dapper.

The Bani Khalid Emirate of Kuwait passed a fatwah on "anything higgledy piggeldy" in 1761, which has cast a long shadow.

It does! Always been a fave.

From the hip: Flea+Nick Cave's 'Wichita Lineman' is bad.

I would not be surprised if the same person owns both these blocks of units.

Rotted brick and concrete multi letterbox construction. Four alcoves, three without doors and two without floors.

Brick and concrete multi letterbox construction, built far too low to be easily usable. Bottom two boxes are Dustin in the grass which isn't even that long.

Every time another authority is asked to look at this and chucks it out immediately, it gets another run in the news. Maybe just stop reporting on this beat up @news.abc.net.au?

People wearing their hood up all the time around town have no peripheral vision; and make that your problem.

They mixed up 6621 and 6221 which actually seems like human mistake. Good old Greg or Susan having an odd day.

Looks like a melange of every TV gardener

The car is a different make and colour; and crucially, has a different rego.

Weeks back I got a fine for parking illegally in Mitcham, Victoria; a place I've never been. The car with cited rego hasn't been out of Tasmania since at least 2017. I sent some documentation of this. Now they say "Welp – we'll drop it but here are the photos of your car".

Wow those moths really are big.

I didn't pay much attention until late in that incredible prelim. What? They could three-peat?? These guys??? And they have. Lots of memorable images in my mind from that grand final but the strongest is Fagan; after the the euphoria on the siren, looking utterly unmoored; bereft. 3/3

Chris Fagan's team never looked like it, but won from 5th in 24. Finished 3rd in 25 and sort of drunk-walked to a flag, the most unlikely back-to-back ever? 3rd again this year, lost their first final again. 2/3

I remember the Brisbane three-peat of 2001-3 as just grinding, boring superiority. Brownlow medallists in every line. Incredible side but hard to love, made in the image of Lethal Leigh. 1/3
