I saw Digger tonight, without any pre-knowledge, and I was supremely impressed with the message, presentation and acting. Incredibly timely and pertinent, it portrays how easily a corporate-government alliance can destroy global society as we know it. It’s bleak, and it’s brilliant. 1/2

In professional sports there’s a concept of salary cap. A team has a limit on total salary paid. What if the House, Senate, Executive Branch and Supreme Court each had salary cap, based on members’ tax return income? In order to retain the job, members would need to limit their incomes.

If a political party wants credibility as a champion of the middle class, maybe the majority of its leaders should be middle class, like living on their government salary. Maybe there should be a maximum income limit (IRS adjusted gross income) for governments employees. Prevent the gravy train.
