Why do 72 hour deodorants exist? I had some pretty grody benders at uni and have done many weekend camping festivals where showering, or even a wet wipe wash was unavailable, but I still managed to apply deodorant once a day.

Just found out a car club friend died really suddenly. We were hanging out at a meet just 4 weeks ago and he was on top form. Last week his partner found him on the floor unconscious, massive brain bleed. Put him on life support but he couldn't recover from the damage. It's always the good ones. RIP

Between the lockdowns I was able to get someone in to decorate. The guy doing the work was actually a commercial pilot who needed other work since he couldn't fly. Quite sad really. Still, he did a terrific job on the landing.

Normally I only tolerate walking the dog in the rain but I found it hugely refreshing today. Watching the dangerously-low ponds rippling with new water and seeing the rivulets running down tree branches and dripping into the parched soil below was really affirming.
