The rough texture of the top half is textured so slicing stuff doesn't stick to the blade. I think it's a zebrawood handle. Needed a different sharpener than my stainless knives. It's gotta get washed and dried after every use. No soaking. No waiting.

I. Got. One. Hella. Kitchen. Knife. Senzo, by Suncraft. I came thinking I'd end up with a French knife that just wasn't sold in the US. This was so fucking well balanced, it felt like an extension of my fingers. 3% carbon steel. I just tried it out and it does not cut. It reads your intentions.

Other than losing my phone on a train when we flew from Paris to Italy and not getting the right paperwork for the One Expensive Item we bought, holy tucking hisht, Paris and Rome trip was amazing. I can't skeet enough about it, doubly because I'm on a Pixel 6a with temperamental battery life
