Good news, they were able to get them both done in one session.

Does anyone I know have a 3D printer, FDM or resin. I want to print my vrchat avatar but the printers at KCLS are in 2 hours slots at max and at the size ~5.5" tall I have to print it at this orientation for it to fit in the time slot. Ideally (I think) it should be upright and larger.

Anyone in the Seattle area need a VR headset or base stations. I picked up a HTC Vive Pre a while back to have for backup base stations but never needed it. Good too if you just need replacement base stations or vive wands. Asking $200, open to reasonable offers.

I don't know either, I know I did make an account and chose a random greater london postal code. Maybe that helps? Good luck!

That probably is the case, they probably have a number of blacklisted IPs. But using NordVPN I was able to get it to work for BBC iPlayer and Channel4. I assume it is party a cat and mouse game of the VPN services getting new IPs that aren't blacklisted.

110

bites @32bit.es · 06/09/2026

You can use a VPN service and connect to a UK server and then watch it on BBC iPlayer. I used VineFeeder (requires some configuration to work) plus a VPN to download the episodes from iPlayer to have on my Plex/Jellyfin server. github.com/vinefeeder/v... The new season of Taskmaster also started.

Saw this guy while on my way to the train this morning.

A hawk sitting on a utility line with shoes dangling from the line.

Probably would only be good a few times but egg drop contest where they build something to protect an egg from a fall.

My most recent attempt to use Linux as a desktop OS I used Kubuntu (ubuntu with KDE Plasma) and liked it. Just couldn't commit since VR isn't great on Linux, less bad than the previous time I tried though.

A bunch of the music I have has webp for the image on it. When looking at tags and such in MusicBrainz on my computer it's fine. Playing those flac files on my ipod in rockbox, half of shit doesn't have an image.

Mt Rainier was not either but that was as of Thursday, the situation may have changed.

A few years back I bought this heater at the hardware store, the fan isn't the quietest but it works. The thermostat knob stopped working, and that could easily be fixed but I ended up using a remote outlet controlling thermostat since using the one built in to the heater wasn't the best anyway.

@transportation.seattle.gov The bike lanes on S Henderson St between MLK and Rainier were moved to the north side of the street. They are blocked off so they can not be used safely. When will the barricades be removed?

I haven't had the burgers at the place the took over next door yet, I've head they pretty decent though. Last time I had a gyro there was a couple months ago, it is still good. Unfortunately the last time I was there the seating wasn't open in back like it used to be though.

If you're part of the BioWare or Sims community and want to talk about how those studios' queer characters and themes have impacted you and your fears for those series moving forward after this sale, I'd love to chat with you for a Kotaku story. Can be reached here or email kshepard@kotaku.com

I guess I'm going to Megaplex next month, I didn't have plans to but a cheap space in a room fell in to my lap and was able to find a reasonably priced combination of flights.

That's awesome! How do you apply to get your photos at a stop?

000

bites @32bit.es · 12/07/2026

I'm not going to link any specific listing since I see it being sold under a couple different brands but I bought the single channel version of this (ZT-703S, two channel) scope/multi-meter and it did what I needed.

A photo from the listing from a ZT-703S portable oscilloscope multi-meter. It shows the device and the included accessories.

I know that won't really help you in Unity but that is the one time I've seen this behavior.

000

bites @32bit.es · 11/07/2026

When I was making my old avatar work on Tower Unite I ran in to this. Tower uses a different skeleton than vrchat so I had to re weightpaint the whole thing. In blender it was fine, in unity the exported fbx was fine but in Tower (uses Unreal) any bit that wasn't weightpainted went to the origin.

I was riding a Lime scooter from my work to the light rail station and a mouse or rat ran out from under a parked metro bus and I ran it over before I could do anything. I feel kind of awful.
