Does anyone I know have a 3D printer, FDM or resin. I want to print my vrchat avatar but the printers at KCLS are in 2 hours slots at max and at the size ~5.5" tall I have to print it at this orientation for it to fit in the time slot. Ideally (I think) it should be upright and larger.

Anyone in the Seattle area need a VR headset or base stations. I picked up a HTC Vive Pre a while back to have for backup base stations but never needed it. Good too if you just need replacement base stations or vive wands. Asking $200, open to reasonable offers.

Saw this guy while on my way to the train this morning.

A hawk sitting on a utility line with shoes dangling from the line.

A few years back I bought this heater at the hardware store, the fan isn't the quietest but it works. The thermostat knob stopped working, and that could easily be fixed but I ended up using a remote outlet controlling thermostat since using the one built in to the heater wasn't the best anyway.

I'm not going to link any specific listing since I see it being sold under a couple different brands but I bought the single channel version of this (ZT-703S, two channel) scope/multi-meter and it did what I needed.

A photo from the listing from a ZT-703S portable oscilloscope multi-meter. It shows the device and the included accessories.

Do you take photos of anthro 3D avatars for VRChat as reference? Like the following but I could get full body ones. If so I'd like to get the set of the three.

The would have turned on to the tracks at S Walden St. Where the concrete between the tracks disappears fairly quickly, so most of that distance would be on the bare tracks.

If you have a Boox Go Color 7, update your device's firmware. They FINALLY fixed this annoying thing it would do to images. Set refresh mode to Regal or HD and turn on Image Smoothing. I bought this device in February 2025 and it has always annoyed me.

GPS (and other GNSS systems) is the most common way for stratum 1 time servers to get the time. The GPS device I'm using is in a hardware appliance for doing this but it also puts out PPS and NMEA sentences over serial. I got it fairly cheap used. This can also be done with a $12 GPS module.

I now have a NTP time server that is precise the microsecond (One millionth of a second) set by the PPS output of a GPS hooked up over serial. Do I have a use for this? Not really. Can I figure out hot to get a PTP server working so other computers on the network also have as precise time? Also no.

Output of "chronyc tracking" command showing the following output:

Reference ID : 50505300 (PPS)

Getting to work was hell, the train was pretty full when I got on at the Rainer Beach Station, the later station there were full platforms of people with no space on the train with people jamming in when there just isn't space. Photo is right when I got on.

I'm surprised you don't have a USB CD drive emulator, they're super handy for computers that will only boot off CD or installers that don't play well with USB drives (e.g. Windows XP). The one I have at home is Iodd brand but the zalman one I use at work seems to be the exact same thing.
