Speaking at #datasatoslo was, as usual, an excellent experience. Great people, audiences that were interacting, and the venue this year was very very good, Enora can be proud! The only thing for me was the distracting views when presenting. Coming from a flat country, this view was truly mindblowing

Next week, I'll be travelling to one of my favourite conferences of the year, Data Saturday Oslo. Just after lunch, I'll be speaking on my experiences with load testing Microsoft Fabric.

Holiday in two shots. Exercise, sun and fresh air combined with some work on my DP800 certification book. #holiday #Vlieland #DP800 #MicrosoftLearn #MVPBuzz

Picture of my computer, a second portable screen and keyboard looking out on a yellowish garden with some green trees.

Picture of the beach, taken at the Cornfield range. During the week, the airforce practices here and riding there can be very bad for your health.

Going over the beach like this is fun. Way more fun than sitting and wasting time. But this is a very Personal opinion

At the beach. Where, according to legend, the fun is. So far, it’s warm, sandy, and smells of sunscreen. Not sure what people like here, other than walking or riding their bike. At least it’s not really noisy. But I could have done fun, useful things instead…

Second time in a little over a week, big spectacles in the air. This time, the camera was prepared with the Miops trigger. The settings are not optimal, but I got a few very good ones that I could merge to create this shot. Please sing or hum your favourite lightning song to accompany this picture.

An image taken from the top floor of my house, showing an angry sky with multiple lightning bolts. On the left and right, two are going straight down, and in the middle, there's a large bolt going across.

Nice home improvement. From a green wall with lots of distractions to a single picture of the countryside. I can imagine myself Walking or riding a bike there on the foggy morning.

Picture of a country lane with low hedges. Trees to the left and in front, a cornfield on the right where plants are beginning to emerge from the soil. The picture is taken during the golden hour in the morning with a little fog.

And, if you thought I was only testing Fabric, nope! Also doing nasty things with Azure SQL databases (helped by @dbatools.io of course!)

Doing some load testing stuff again. Let's see if, when, and how I can break it this time. Without any doubt, with me doing silly things, of course!

Screenshot of processes running in Fabric. It's showing a finished Lakehouse process in 1 hour and 43 minutes, a finished Warehouse process in 2 hours and 3 minutes, and a running Fabric SQL DB process in progress.

Went out into the garden, took some pictures. Felt good to create something and get the creative streams flowing again.

Picture of a shrub branch (dark brown) with a small piece of icy snow hanging from it. The image is taken with a low aperture, resulting in a blurred background.

Photo of a leaf, covered in icy snow. The edit makes the crystals stand out, with the sun creating some nice golden light on them.

Another tradition, timekeeping at the Olympic Qualifying Event in Thialf, Heerenveen. A lot of tech and innovation. Fun to do and best seats in the house.

One thing I love about the Visual Studio installer are the hints that pop up when there are updates, or new releases. Small things that matter :) #visualstudio #ssms
