As a child I used to be intrigued, perplexed and distracted by Ernie Wise's hair cut. That comb forward bit at the side. Like was it an accident, but if so why did it keep happening? Was it meant to be funny? I couldn't understand it and I still can't.

Phoned my au t this morning. She turned 91 yesterday. I was goinf to ring on her birthday but I lost track of the date, so thought it was today. Anyway, she had a lot of calls and visitors and FaceTime yesterday so just as well I rang today when it was quieter!

Over on the dark place someone was saying how MotU film is not a success because it's outdated and a load of other guff. I gave my personal experience as a counter to say actually, you don't have to be nearly 50 and a fan to enjoy it. And they've basically said I'm wrong, and they know the "metrics"

Around this time 10 years ago I was diagnosed with a rare form of Nasal Carcinoma. Three rounds of chemo (each 5 days hooked to chemicals for 22 hours a day). Invasive cranial surgery which removed my olfactory bulb and sinuses. Followed by 30 days of radiotherapy. It was hell.
