I am Xoyos Brightslash, the starting hero for the Allayi faction in Endless Legend. Known as "The Lonely," I am the 'only survivor of a Summer birthing season that was ravaged by plague and war due to conflict with a Necrophage hive.' (Text borrowed from Endless Legend Wiki.) Oh dear. 😵‍💫

I recently found these strange flowers while walking in the woods. I learned they're known as ghost pipes and they are a parasitic, non-photosynthesizing plant that feeds off fungi. They're so cool!!

At an antique store today I found some uranium glass! Always wanted to have my own, so I bought it! I actually don't know a whole lot about it, I just think it's neat (I got it for display only hehe) 👽

I got out for some precious nature time yesterday. For me this is preferable to any church. 💚 Side note, I seriously need to learn how to curb my enthusiasm when outside. I ended up doing the whole 10km loop around the lake as it was so nice, and today I am in terrible pain with an endo flare. 😭

This passage from "The Feast of All Saints" by Anne Rice is so relatable to me, as someone who went to art school and then ended up following a much more pragmatic path in order to support and provide for myself. (Highly recommend this book, incidentally!)

Very happy with how my witch hat came out! I started with just a plain hat and sewed on the ribbons. The pentagram started out as just a twig wreath from the craft store, and I added twine to it to create the star shape. ✨️🧙🏻‍♀️🧹🪻

I've been having fun recently getting into rock painting, now that I have some cheap acrylic paint pens at my disposal (party leftovers!). There's a local rock hunt group where people hide and search for painted rocks. Haven't hid this particular guy yet... a bit too attached still! #SSRockHunt

My phone camera wasn't quite up to the task of capturing the incredible cloudscape that rolled across the sky just now, lasting for only a couple minutes! I will practically defenestrate myself to get pictures of cool clouds.

It has colours of blue, purple, and bronze, with tips of gold and turquoise, and a sky blue crystal on its forehead. It has big, curious-looking sky blue eyes. It pokes its head, front feet, and one wing out of the cracked egg, which is sitting on a pile of brown rocks.

A recent interaction reminded me I should post pics of my new-ish Windstone collection! I got all of these pieces (plus another identical sitting dragon) last autumn, in a steal of a deal off FB marketplace. A very fortunate kick-off to a collection I've wanted to start for many years. 💜

A Windstone Editions figurine. The model is Male Black Griffin. It's a sitting griffin, with bird-like front talons and cat-like back paws, and tufty ears, with black with blue and purple on his wings; he has a yellow beak and feet, and light blue eyes. He wears a gold necklace with light blue crystals on it. He has a proud countenance.

He's a multi-hued sitting dragon, covered in scales with metallic shades of green, blue, purple, and bronze, all over his body, with tips of gold here and there. He has horns, a crest of spikes, scaly wings held together out from his back (not visible are the feathered backs of the wings), and sky blue eyes. He is resting his front talons on his curled up tail and wears a knowing or pleased expression (in my opinion)!

I keep forgetting to post stuff here. Well, here's some recent pics from a camping trip! A very beautiful spot nearby a river with a gorgeous swimming hole. :3

Dug this little creature out of my community garden plot by accident! A friend identified it as a rough-skinned newt, BC's most toxic amphibian! I've never seen one before and I am shook. It was so tiny, barely an inch long... I'm glad I saw it in time to avoid squishing it 🦎💜
