People like to think that Trump won 2024 because Republicans are stupid, racist, fascist, etc. He didn't win because of Republicans. Rs are going to vote R, Ds are going to vote D. He won because enough Independents were not ready for the "extreme" changes to the Democratic party's direction.

When I was 8 or 9 I asked my mother what a "boner" was (probably after overhearing or being called it). She told me it meant a mistake. After I learned what it REALLY meant, I figured for many decades that my mom was just lying to me.
