Hey, I'm just glad it's still in the works. I remember when Boyle was completely uncertain about it. We got two excellent films in 2 years during a serious drought in good horror. I haven't gone to a midnight release since Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes (9yrs old) but I will go to this one.

Same here. The ending has me so excited for the third installment. 😁

What did you think about 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple? I think Nia DaCosta did an excellent job directing. I love that Hollywood tried to typecast her as a woke black woman director and Danny Boyle gave her a chance to direct without constraints and IMO she actually did a better job than Danny.

I dunno I just got mine and they are charging the same as last year plus a $1000 credit if I sign early. It's not rent controlled either.

I wish I knew about this. Have I been under a rock?

Climate Change already had it's way with the Sahara. It used to be a Jungle. I could only image the posters (or cave paintings) if activism was a thing back then.

Must have been a great time. Any plans for the the North coast?

Oh wow. So it's completely different from the rest of the franchise? I thought Cronin was going to do what he did with Evil Dead Rise (Wasn't a fan) so I tuned out. At least I can be excited now for 2027 now!

The Mummy from 99 is great! I remember watching it in theaters when I was 7 as a compromise because my cousin didn't want to watch Tarzan lol. How was the reimagining? I'm too worried it's going to ruin the original. What did you think? Scott Pilgrim is a good time. Def watch when you can. 😀

This week's been all over the place haha. What was your favourite from your last 4?

Owen Forty @0nv4t.bsky.social · 08/07/2026

I just finished reading a book titled "Calling Bullshit". There's about 5 different data manipulation tactics being used in that chart. I'm calling bullshit and I highly recommend the book to everyone.

This isn't about people stepping on fish eggs in shallow water? I thought Roe vs Wade was some kind of environmental thing.

Reminds me of a medical test I had to take once. Fitting for a doctor I suppose. Nice card 😉

Great...now they are all going to come to Canada.

Thank you for sharing. I'm always interested in yarn creations. A very underutilized medium. Not sure if you know Tracy Widdess. She makes Horror creations out of yarn and worked on a few indie films here in Canada. www.flickr.com/photos/___tr...

Did you make that? For some reason I really like that she's wearing a bikini top. 😂 Nice little detail, very modest girl.

The government doesn't believe net neutrality applies to them. That's why you have to pay taxes of digital video games.

Damn, I've been there. I feel your pain. Uber Eats has become so bad and all they do now is gaslight. Ordered chips from 7-11 and they never arrived. They claimed they did even though the delivery bag was sealed and half the size of a bag of chips. I had to dispute with the bank.

I saw 99 at TIFF. It was alright. IMO I haven't seen a really good V/H/S segment since V/H/S/2 Slumber Party Alien Abduction. Have you seen the rest in the series? Do you have a preference?

Darn, I wished they shipped to Canada. It's a lot harder to get Criterion films at a decent price now.

People view movies differently. Different genres serve different psychological needs. Broadly it comes down to modern Hollywood movies in general sacrificing escapism and fantasy for pro social learning opportunities. Even when the genre doesn't traditionally offer that. Builds an inherent distrust

There are times when I literally do not want to give a shit about the planet. How much of a blood sacrifice do the green gods require? #environment #green #earth

Well contemporarily I think it's a bit of both of course, genes altering physiology which produces the framework of behaviours and nurture activating behaviours within that framework which we ascribe traits to like altruism of selfishness but that's getting into sociology I've never studied that.

The more I think about it the more I'd be interested in a study on mortality and birth rates as it correlates to political ideology. Assuming of course ideology is genetically inheritable which there is evidence for. Do you know if there has been one published?
