Mar Hicks @histoftech.bsky.social · 17/07/2026public health must be public. People do not make good health decisions on their own in crises. But most will follow directions and use tools that are given to them and explained (more than once) clearly and accurately. 110615
Mar Hicks @histoftech.bsky.social · 17/07/2026If you are in a smoke affected area rn the most common place to find respirators asap is gonna be a hardware store. The bigger stores wil have 3m auras, which will be more comfortable. But the smaller stores will still have the cup shaped n95s that people wear in construction & they are fine too. 46418

Jill S @outseide.bsky.social · 17/07/2026I hate the whole “sensitive groups” because people want to believe they are strong or healthy or whatever adjective and I generally fall to that too and I KNOW I need to wear a mask/take measures once the AQI gets to like 100. Sensitive my ass. All animals are sensitive to these poisons. 1120
R Garner @rhgarner.bsky.social · 17/07/2026You know I’ve found that when outdoors and being active or in heavy smoke, the cup respirators with acceleration vents are actually the easiest wear. They stay off your face, don’t hold sweat, and are much cooler. Only appropriate in an environmental hazard situation, though, not one with illness. 140
