Rodger Sherman @rodger.bsky.social · 03/10/2026honestly, kickers now have big enough legs that they're regularly kicking the ball above the uprights, and it's making it harder to officiate their field goals 131294 0
Conor Thompson @cpiguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026they gotta introduce the ball-tracking tech they have in rugby and GAA 030 0
Drew @dr-ill.bsky.social · 03/10/2026And since they a field goal that goes above the uprights is unreviewable by rule, it leads to very dumb stuff. Seems like they could just put small cameras facing straight upwards at the top of the uprights and make it very easily reviewable.... 000 0

BOOtolo Colon @bigfatbartolocolon.bsky.social · 03/10/2026the worst part is that the guy who has been saying this for 25 years is Adam Carolla and I don't want to have to agree with him about anything 090 0
cbcbcbcbcbcb.bsky.social @cbcbcbcbcbcb.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Add a crossbar, attach a net to the whole thing. Ball goes in the net and it's good. None of the refs looking at each other going "huh, not sure, you any idea? Let's just guess it's good." 000 0
Pork Shoulderman @dkendall.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Counterpoint: they’re specialist, so less power & placement through the uprights is a skill they should exercise when the situation calls for it. 020 0
Steven Chappell @grammarpurist.bsky.social · 03/10/2026The @sickoscommittee.org once proposed making the posts into theramins so the ball, if it breaks the plane, would sound like the theme to Star Trek, alerting the universe that the kick was good. 050 0
dbex @djbex.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I thought the same thing. That looked good. How is that not reviewed. 000 0
