Book 17 of 2025 Swordcrossed by Freya Marske In reality more of a general fiction book than SFF although set in a pre-industrial world where queer relationships are viewed as completely equal with heterosexual ones. Mild 🌶️. 💙📚🪐 🌈📚 🌈🚀💫

Book 18 of 2025 The Outcast Mage by @annabelcwrites.bsky.social Epic fantasy and perfect for fans of Trudi Canavan and S A Chakraborty. It has been very apt reading this while in Istanbul as this is also a land straddling East and West. Very much looking forward to the next instalment. 💙📚🪐 🌈📚 🌈🚀💫

Book 19 of 2025 The Saint Of Bright Doors by Vajra Chadrasekera. I can see why this novel did so well with awards due to the complex layers and competing mythology / religions. The narrative is completely from a single point of view which is unusual in today’s multifaceted visual media world. 💙📚🪐

An Arabic style door is at the centre of a rich ocean blue patch with jagged edges to yellow borders. On closer look the jagged edges are actually silhouettes of various different building styles.

The title is written in a sans serif font taking up the majority of the cover.
