Wasn't she compared *with* a lettuce, rather than 'to'? We were invited to guess, and even wager on, whether or not an unrefrigerated lettuce would outlast her premiership, which of course it did. So what was under consideration was not a similarity, but a difference. Also Liz Truss is preposterous
