Pavel @spavel.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Some years ago, I wrote "friction is texture." But as AI-extruded homogenized slop takes over social media and blogs, I am coming to realize that friction is also *flavor*. When content is optimized for consumption, the words feel like someone has already chewed and digested them on my behalf. 325351
Pavel @spavel.bsky.social · 12/07/2026When I read "frictionless" writing, my eyes glaze over and my brain shuts off. Afterwards, I find that not only have I retained nothing, but I also felt nothing. Dan Kayur 🥞🥄 @dankayur.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Interesting because I actually feel plenty from AI text. It starts out as a growing dread, turns into an unacceptable realisation and then becomes the horror and disgust of the uncanny valley as I can no longer deny that what I thought was my friend is, in fact, a lifeless husk of feigned humanity. 150
