Also a reminder that:
1. Chemical-free paints do not exist. Yellow ochre is made from chemicals. So is the tree sap in my binder! The water in it is a chemical.
2. 'Natural' is not a synonym for 'good', 'safe', 'fair-trade' or 'ethical'. I use human-made synthetic pigments too.
Periodic reminder:
Chemical-free paints do not exist.
Watercolour paints like mine (or anyone else's) are made with chemicals like water! And gum arabic!! And pigments!
Even naturally occurring pigments like this ochre are coloured by iron oxide chemicals.
Thank you for your time.
