Inverse 5040 @inverse5040.bsky.social · 03/08/2026As far as I can recall, this is the first time someone actually depicted the Milky Way as having a flocculent inner structure as it's believed to (most other depictions just lean fully into it being almost a grand design galaxy with well-defined arms when that's not true).
