It's time for the Sixers to shut it down with Joel Embiid and Paul George. This season is going nowhere. Chasing a spot in the PIT isn't worth putting more wear and tear on these guys. Let them get their surgeries, start on rehab and look forward to next season.

Someone needs to tell PG it's ok to retire, get surgeries needed, and give that body a break. But hell, if the Sixers want to keep all the olds and waste more of Maxey's years, fine with this C's fan.

Past time. If surgery is needed, then go get it now. Keeping their pick is the priority right now. Also, might be time to look at coaching options. I'm not putting it all on Nick but they do not play for him and he has done nothing to steal a game or two with the depleted lineup.

I’d disagree. Go down fighting with what you have this year and start over. They’ve unfortunately gotten all that they’re going to get from Embiid and PG. Time to move on.

They really do. They also arguably need to make Maxey the #1 guy moving forward, but Embiid will never allow that as long as he's on the team.

Dude is on $60m a year and even if you shut him down this year, there’s no guarantee for next year, there wouldn’t be something else with that knee or ankle or face! His body can’t take the rigours of professional sports anymore. This is who he is and the best thing is to manage it.

I'm surprised a Morey-led team hasn't yet shut everyone down to try to increase chances of keeping their pick. The difference between having no first-round pick (goes to Thunder unless it's top 6) and having a top 6 pick is pretty significant. More significant than making the play-in.

I genuinely feel bad for my fellow Philly fans that are naive enough to keep giving this franchise attention and money. Signing Paul George should have been an instant deal-breaker for every Sixers fan. There was no universe in which this deal ended well. Embiid needs to retire, he cant play anymore

Surgeries and rehab will not fix the team. They don't care if they lose. They don't care if they play well They don't care that they embarrass themselves. Ownership is okay with this The GM is okay with this Their Coach is okay with this The players are okay with this Its CULTURE not health
