Ash Oro @ashoro.co.uk · 10/10/2026I've spent some time last night and this morning looking at Trump's Russian diesel announcement. Putting the political implications aside for a moment, I wanted to work through the cargo involved and see if I can determine the operational impacts. The numbers are revealing. 58128

Tim Burnett @tritim.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Thanks; a lot of detail. Performative from Trump, and harmful to peace in Europe. 😥 030
Andy Blatchford @andyb28m.bsky.social · 10/10/2026As always so brilliantly informative. I'm pretty good at growing vegetables in the back garden. But your expertise in shipping, regulations, oil etc is on a completely different level 030
Ash Oro @ashoro.co.uk · 10/10/2026Trump says Russia will supply 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately, 500,000 in November and another million afterwards. A further 3 million tonnes depends on Russian refinery capacity. It is important to note these are announced quantities, not confirmed deliveries with schedules and timings. 1172
