Not solar flares- our sun is not the source here. Solar ->our star Solar flares -> stellar flares originating from our star These "flares" are from the accretion disk surrounding the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*. They are due to dust and gas colliding and heating to extreme temperature

"He posits that minor disturbances within the accretion disk likely generate the faint flickers. Specifically, turbulent fluctuations within the disk can compress plasma (a hot, electrically charged gas) to cause a temporary burst of radiation. Yusef-Zadeh likens these events to solar flares."

While we're marveling at our Black Hole, I'd like to suggest a new name for it. Sagittarius A* ("a star") just sounds stupid. We call it "Sagittarius" because Ptolemy named a constellation, and news flash, it ain't "a star." I suggest "Milky Way Prime" aka the MWP, pronounced "M-Whip." 👍 [==*==]
