It was the best of times, then Trump got elected. Populism puzzles me, even as I continue to study it. One cause is that democracy leads candidates to over-promise, leading to widespread disappointment. After two-party flip-flop ping, voters try someone else. That's where the cunning populist is.

Great. Who's going to enforce that decision? This is an inflection point in our history, and it's time for people and institutions to stand up and be counted. Either judges' orders are enforced across the board for everyone, or we need to stop saying they are and admit the experiment was a fail.

Constitutional lawyers would never accept dictatorship upon our government given conservative principles. I would hope. However I put little faith in conservatives actually doing something rather than nothing they have done in 14 years. Conservative Republicans are responsible for government demise.

The law is the law! That judge is protecting his judicial reputation because trump’s expiration date is fast approaching! Trump may be gone from the scene a lot sooner than that judge’s retirement date!
