again i don’t quite understand this because mathematics is fundamental.
the platonic voice in me says let’s see the undiscovered country! no one is poorer for having skipped a few thousand years of manual effort.
if there are infinite fundamentals let’s see a whole multiverse of math. why not?
@tedunderwood.comIt won’t stop at math. Machines getting better at thinking through abstract problems than we are is going to be an emotional crisis for lots of people. I wish we were engaging that directly instead of having ridiculous shadow-debates about GPUs’ inherent thirst for water.
