In the studio, trying to conjure a wobbly Harry Partch-ish sound blend of Jamaican steel drum and Balinese Gamelan and my dog's water bowl. The tuning of the gamelan is "sour" to the western scale, but blends in nicely with the other sounds.
Important for the song that the sound can't be "placed."
