Look at the infrastructure. Crash barriers, speed humps, speed cams, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, signage for speed limits. All necessary because motor vehicle drivers cannot drive safely, and even then with all of the above, thousands die or are seriously injured by drivers every year

If we rely only on policing to help prevent deaths/bodily injury, police will opt for targeting easy 'catches': cyclists/pedestrians rather than aggressive motorists/speedsters. Using above %, more 'bad actors' will continue to get away with insisting on 'their way' rather than social common good.

And the rules are overwhelmingly written for the speed and convenience of motorists, with almost complete disregard for anyone else. Why? Follow the money, and find massive government subsidization-compulsion of personal private motor vehicles and community designs-spacing that makes sense for them.

Nice now do the U.S. Split out bicyclist and e-bikes In the last month over taken in three e-bikers who hit stationary objects dodging on coming cars or caused the collision with cars by running stop lights and signs. Bicyclists seldom end up in my ambulance. Maybe five in the last two years.
