A few atypical ones that come to mind:

Cover of the album An Acrobat's Heart by Annette Peacock.

Original cover of the album Ruta and Daitya by Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette.

Cover of the album Ah by Enrico Rava.

Cover of the album Sucht + Ordnung by Ulrich P. Lask.

The very un-ECM cover of the first CODONA album, which is a closeup photo of a piece of cracked timber, with the title and personnel in small typewriter font centered on the image.

I think I prefer many of the early un-ECM-y sleeves to the label’s corporate look and feel with standardised font of today. Quirky beats bland.
