Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @london.gov.uk · 29/06/202610 years ago, the air outside Aldgate School didn’t meet legal limits. Children were breathing polluted air every day. I made it my mission to change that. Here’s the difference our bold policies have made ⬇️ 522549646
m. hela fella @marguerite00.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Children & all people deserve to breathe clean air. Bravo. 050
Ian @pignut1.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Years ago there were headlines after headlines about various British cities having record breaking levels of pollution. A guy from friends of the earth confided in me that they were choosing to sample the air on still, foggy days during the early morning rush hour, and that different local FOE 300
Ed Santos 🇪🇺🇵🇹🇬🇧🇺🇦🌍 @ed-santos.bsky.social · 29/06/2026The air has improved immensely since you became the mayor kfondom. Well done every one 000
4017xan.bsky.social @4017xan.bsky.social · 29/06/2026The air is cleaner & healthier & the pupils are receiving a practical education on making the environment safer for everyone, on the use of plants & trees to promote health. 060
Smart Air UK @smartairuk.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Great example showing that cleaner air comes from layers of action: reducing emissions (ULEZ), monitoring air quality, increasing urban greening and filtering the air indoors. Every layer plays a role in protecting little lungs 🫁 0413
Rich @delff.bsky.social · 29/06/2026But now I have to drive at 20 mph and my boss needs me at work quickly, capitalism rules my life. 210
daarbenikdan30.bsky.social @daarbenikdan30.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Your policies gave raping gangs free space tot rape and murder young children you fucking moron 000
Tony Williams @teedub55.bsky.social · 29/06/2026And right there is why SK is much maligned by those in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry. Well done Sadiq. 020
Bettina Struff #Woke #NHS #RejoinEU @bettinastruff.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Great news, but can you change the ULEZ charging switchover to 3am. please? If I drive into London for a gig, unless I can get out of the zone before midnight I have to pay twice for one visit! If you change the switchover to 3am I might actually start visiting London again. @london.gov.uk 341
MickeyGif Myers 🔪 @mickeygif.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Big F you to all the haters, the proof is in the pudding. Well done Sadiq. Children are meant to be a priority to certain people. 030
mstkindeed.bsky.social @mstkindeed.bsky.social · 29/06/2026👏👏👏👏 Now stop private jets landing in London and bonfires in peoples' back gardens? 000
Veronica du Lac (She/Her) @krustyallslopp.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Brilliant stuff Sadiq, but we here in SW9 are suffering from our local roads being used as rat runs for huge trucks transporting waste from all over the borough. Our road went from a quiet 1 way street to 2 way hell. 000
Choz51 🌊 🇦🇺 🇬🇧 🇿🇦 💚 @choz51.bsky.social · 29/06/2026What a great achievement, Sir Sadiq Khan. 👍. I’d love to know who told you it would take 200 years to get results, but you did it in 9, bet it was some old fossil. 110
Andrew Rait @andrewrait.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Fabulous stuff Mayor 🙏 Then there's this: bsky.app/profile/bren...Brent Toderian@brenttoderian.bsky.socialOne of the most successful pedestrian streets in the world, the Strøget in Copenhagen, was filled with cars until a 2 year pedestrianization pilot project in 1962. The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street. 1112
PWCoghlan @pwc50.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Next up, the diesel bus fleets most especially the filthy hop-on / hop / off tourist hulks 🙏❓❓ 100
Big Dave @livehistory03.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Change will always be resisted. Even change for the better. This is great news. 0321
atchijov.bsky.social @atchijov.bsky.social · 29/06/2026London should take Paris as an example... ban personal cars, ban ICE delivery cars and replace all busses with EV versions. And add tons of trees and dedicated bike routes 2150
MJ @mathewheath.bsky.social · 29/06/2026I ride thru there at least 4 times a week and it is notable how much cleaner the air is now. 050
andycordy.bsky.social @andycordy.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Congratulations. I used to get my lunch in Camberwell Green, 90s time. On hot days it was diabolical but if you got to stand under the trees, on the edge of the green, the difference was amazing. Trees are an amazing asset in London. Bring on electrification. Ban "self charging" hybrids. 010
bella34.bsky.social @bella34.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Great news. And well done in your persistence and strength against all the naysayers. 010
Nualaatpeace @ros14.bsky.social · 29/06/2026It took determination to achieve this. Thank you Sadiq Khan. Everything is possible. No excuses. 040
thinkkind.bsky.social @thinkkind.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Mayor Sadiq Khan is wonderful. He has continued to work hard and do his best for the people he serves despite all the despicable lazy verbal attacks by those who should know better. 0220
@Superleggera - who's awesome? That would be me 😊 @superleggera.bsky.social · 29/06/2026this is what real leadership looks like. Keep going, Mr Khan 💪💪 010
Noel Darlow @noeldarlow.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Meanwhile on X... there's a campaign to hang more union jacks in the streets to intimidate forns. Poisonous nationalism deliberately designed to prevent us from ever gathering together to act in the common good. 020
Neighbours Against Wood Smoke @nbrsvswoodsmoke.bsky.social · 29/06/2026PM2.5 is still at dangerous levels though because of domestic and commercial cooking solid fuel burning. We need action on wood burning - many people in London suburbs are exposed to outrageous levels of PM2.5 and Benzoapyrene because of neighbours burning wood on deadly "Ecodesign" stoves. 010
💙💙💙OrishaZ💙💙💙 @orishaz.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Beautiful solution. Here in America 🌲 are being murdered so the rich can build rental properties. They are destroying the 🌍 because of greed & the insatiable need for 💰💵💰 020
riftmaster.bsky.social @riftmaster.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Something I've realized after the past decade or so in the USA, you cannot fully trust "legal limits" unless you are sure the system setting them is sufficiently incorruptible. Because if it isn't, then there is a chance someone with a bunch of money set the "legal limit" to benefit them, instead. 000
The Orphan @forestcronebears.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Resistance Matters, it is scientific 🫶 Thank you for showing what taking positive action by concerned citizens who come together, it changes things. 🧪📘☔ 011
