Kate Morozova @brushesandbiomes.bsky.social · 07/01/2026Hey #sciart, I've been painting traditionally for the last 7 years or so, but was gifted a Cintiq this year. What software are you all using to paint these days? 740
Dwuff 🇿🇦✨ @dwuff.com · 07/01/2026Not sci artist per se but my interests align! I'm a traditional painter and have recently started learning Clip Studio. It's a lot less resource hungry than Photoshop and doesn't have the predatory subscription fees. Also doesn't shill for AI. Highly recommended. Enjoy your Cintiq! 130
V Pellicer- looking for work! @veppart.bsky.social · 08/01/2026Try clip studio paint, paint tool sai, corel painter, or Adobe photoshop 010
Blue Appaloosa @blueappaloosa.bsky.social · 08/01/2026Krita or MyPaint (mostly Krita tho) krita.org/en/ www.mypaint.app/en/krita.orgDigital Painting. Jay @kakapojay.bsky.social · 07/01/2026I use Krita and love it to bits! Totally free and very user friendly and customizable! 110
Anita Heckman @anitaheckman.bsky.social · 08/01/2026I used to use photoshop, but got way too expensive. Now I have Affinity- it’s free since Canva bought it recently. It has a photo/painting program, a layout program and an illustrator-like program. 010
Daniel Loxton 🇨🇦 @danielloxton.bsky.social · 07/01/2026I still use Photoshop for digital painting. (It would be difficult for me to move away from that, as I have decades of practice and custom brushes and whatnot invested in the software) 110
