zzorgon.bsky.social @zzorgon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Right? The runner root was too thick & deep for an easy transplant, so I was going to take the Fiskars to them. In a wtf moment, I thought - well, it's going to come out eventually (too close to shed) so let's just see. I also tried some poplar at the same time, but they keep unbraiding themselves. 260
zzorgon.bsky.social @zzorgon.bsky.social · 07/10/2026About two years ago I braided a clump of aspen shoots on a whim. Now with leaves thinning, you can see where they’re still separated at ground level, but up about 2’ they’ve fused into a single braided trunk. Pretty cool, eh? quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) #nativeplants 6292

zzorgon.bsky.social @zzorgon.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I wouldn’t downplay Sen John N Kennedy. He’s smart - Vanderbilt, UVA School of Law, & a law degree from Oxford. He’s got an “aw shucks” appeal that disaffected voters could glom onto. He’s from Louisiana which could pull the South in '28. Progressives could have theirs hands full going head-to-head. 460
