I tend to prefer B&W, if given a choice. I'm ok w/ color so long as it's in tandem w/ symbols and not just "guess which shade of [whatever] this might be" blocks. Printers don't always cooperate in that regard, so it's nice to have multiple points of reference on the chart.

It's heartwarming and endearing that folks are seeing things beyond what's glamorized in movies. The guy from Germany finding a bit of home in Helen, Georgia (barely 2 hours from where I live, btw). Auburn let the War Eagle loose to welcome everybody (their mascot is a tiger, btw)

I don't post much (any) sportsball stuff, but am tickled by what's bouncing into my feeds from internationals here for the World Cup, who are A. probably visiting for the 1st time, and B. experiencing such random parts of the USA that most of us living here probably (definitely) take for granted.

Note to self (and others) - So far, I've invested in an extra skein each of NPI 525 and Waterlilies 006/amethyst - While I'm pretty mindful about not wasting floss, I don't think the materials list accurately accounts for multi-strand specialty stitches chewing thru floss like nobody's business...

Thanks! Don't worry, we all start somewhere, you'll get there! :) It's actually not that bad - working a motif at a time helps compartmentalize the effort, and I end up with lots of little victories to keep me going when I finish a round of them (like this time!)

FYI to anyone else wanting to stitch this (Amazing Earth to Universe) - get an extra skein each of NPI 525 and Waterlilies 006/amethyst - I'm pretty mindful about floss wastage, but I really think the materials list neglected to account for the floss-devouring nature of specialty stitches...

As is tradition, my bday ushered in bad weather. We made it thru the ice storm ok but, during a brief above-freezing period yesterday, discovered our roof has a leak.
