if you want even half a chance at us living in a just society, you need to be willing to say that Arab lives are not inherently less valuable than white American lives. and if you're willing to start from there, the sheer amount of suffering caused by this empire becomes pretty inescapable

I think one of the reasons that I don't see OP/riftbound as a solution to Magic's overindexing on UB is that those IPs just do absolute 0 for me. Like, if I'm going to play a game with a bunch of IP that i don't care about, you aren't beating the inertia on that front.

@mtggoldfish.com Just checking in, could we get the Devoted Druid decks in modern consistently categorized? Since most lists have dropped Walking Ballista in favour of just Tyvar/Craterhoof, they've been appearing as "WBG".

The first MTG art auction I've bid on. This thing rocks

2nd in the modern challenge. Really glad to have a nice result. Did some theory work and re-read one of my favourite mental game articles and it helped me a lot.

If any of the devoted druid players with recent success with the deck are available, I'm interested in a couple hours of coaching on the deck just to firm up plans leading into the Canadian RC. #mtg #SCGBALTIMORE #SCGDALLAS #modern

Do you think it feels good for the pokemon when you press B to stop it evolving?

Really wishing I could go to the sean mccann/jeremy fisher collab shows out east. Jeremy opened for GBS the first time I ever saw them, and a lot of his stuff is till in my playlist rotation.

@mtggoldfish.com Is there a way we could combine "WBG" and "Devoted Combo" deck listings in modern?

If anyone in #summerland or the greater #kelowna area needs a spot to evac to, my condo's guest room is available.

One of the like, (VERY) mildly frustrating things about the latest batch of fires is the implication from the emergency services that if you do not have a car and can't evacuate, not only are there no resources for helping you, you get shamed by more emails for not leaving.

Modern challenge top 4 with druid, 7-0 swiss, only loss to UB control in semis.

Pokemon players being mad they can't buy packs to crack but being unwilling to go gambling with me in vegas is one of nature's great mysteries.

I felt kind of awkward listening to this ep at the time, really felt kind of out-of-left field - we didn't need to make this one. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never really did. Hope they follow this up and figure out what went wrong.

Ltq qualifier. Deck looks reasonable. Very confident I built incorrectly but this is the best I could do.

The ron spears vultures in the signed group are really offputting.

Crossposting from fb, but Alan legit gives me so much happiness that I wanna share with bluesky. Link to show vid: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjK5...

I was fortunate enough to be able to take Hayley Aldworth to see my goat Alan Doyle (and honarary goats the The East Pointers) in LA for our birthdays a few weeks back. This was my second time seeing Alan on this tour after the first Kelowna stop this year, and unfortunately will have to miss next weekend's show in town as I'll be competing in a team magic tournament with the homies Farrell Chandi Pujokusumo and Christopher Donetz in Las Vegas, which I'm sure will be equally as awesome.
I would be remiss to not shoutout the incredible Lynda Here who has been recording and posting Alan/Great Big Sea shows since i was a highschooler, and who I had the pleasure of meeting a few months back. She's just the best, and took all this amazing footage of the show we got to see in LA (We're a bit back and to the right of the camera here).
Enjoy a slice of the show we got to see live, and if Alan's in your city please check him out, he and his crew put on a helluva show

4-1 with devoted druid at the ~60 player face to face in Langley. 2 more rounds!

Zak @zturchan.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

I love this fucking deck so much.

000

Zak @zturchan.bsky.social · 02/06/2026

Man this whole vegas team thing is just such an awkward spot.

000

Zak @zturchan.bsky.social · 02/06/2026

My condo has nontrivial foundation issues that continue to compound in price as we let them fester and one old dude and his crew of proxies keep voting fixing it down because they "don't care what engineers think" and "won't be here if it becomes a problem". We gotta stop old people man.

000

Zak @zturchan.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

So like, uhh, hypothetically if a girlie needed a team for vegas are there any gamers available/interested.
