Exactly! The only times I share my photos is in Discord private group chats I completely trust and even there I delete my photo after a day or two to be safe (though Discord probably still has it anyway... since the breaches and leaks with the IDs I will not share anything on there anyway).

Not that I mind learning the new mechanics and all, but my worries are that I learn the mechanics, then cannot play the game for a longer while because of irl stuff and then have major problems reentering the game because of the quantity and complexity of everything that you need to know.

Oh come on, cut yourself some slack! You play Shulk who I think is hard to play well with with his neutral B buffs and you had a pretty good game against the top two of the tournament! At my first (and so far only) Smash tournament, I won ZERO games and only took a couple of stocks at best 😭.
